KURTIS single "Love me like you do" out 23rd JAN
KURTIS releases its 3rd track of their debut album "Foundations" on the 23rd of January 2005. As the album's only complete studio recorded track (mixed by Ramesh) brings a big, fresh disco sound to the airwaves. Listen out for it on the Aussie airwaves.

Coinciding with the release of "Love me like you do" KURTIS are heading off to Coolangatta, Brisbane and The Sunshine Coast for a run of shows. Check the gig guide for dates and times.

Also the band will be performing at one the Gold Coast's finest music venues "The Sound Lounge" on the 11th of Feb. The venues, in Currumbin, plays host to some of Australia's greatest touring and local acts and this Kurt is show promises to be a special night.

KURTIS "TSUNAMI" Benefit Concerts 20.01.05

In the wake of the Tsunami disaster, like so many bands and organization around the country KURTIS have been doing what they can to promote awareness and continue funds needed to restore the devastated areas. The weekend of the 15th and 16th of January saw KURTIS perform at two separate festivals both sending messages of love and compassion the South East Asia.

On Saturday the Gold's Coast's "JOYFEST"  and on the Sunday the Darling played host to "TAP", an all day and night concert were all pro cedes went to the appeal.

The gigs were we'll attended and those who were their at either festival were rewarded with set after set of great music from all the local, national and international acts that performed.

Byron Bay's Federal Community play's host to another important TSUNAMI appeal on the 22nd of January. The band will headline a gig supported by Byron Bay Band ENERGY .

All proceeds go to the Tsunami appeal.

KURTIS - second coming in the making                                              20.01.05

2005 will be a busy year for the band with extensive touring and promotion of "foundations" however much thought, work, jamming and pre-production is going into the bands second release. So many musical flowers bloom after releasing an album and touring it, such has made way for new sounds, Phat new grooves and the beginnings of what is going to be KURTIS's giving's to the dance, soul and funk sounds of Australian and Global music.

Its amazing and perfect when your desire becomes so great to create something special with a crew of your friends that it keeps you driven by it all hours a day and night. Can't wait to get these new sounds out to the dance floors,

Kurtis - MusicMax feature band for December 04

MusicMAX has chosen Kurtis to be the feature band for December. MusicMAX will be playing the band's full length DVD filmed during the recording/making of "foundations" starting Wednesday evening 15th December. The follow up screening will be on Saturday 19th after the MAX sessions. Also featured will be the new kurtis clip for the latest single "Too much aint enough". The clip was filmed in Sydney during the bands Sept tour.

Kurtis @ The Big Day Out

The Kurtis crew are stoked to announce thier inclusion on the bill for the Gold Coast Big Day Out on the 23rd December. The band will be doin a firing funky set in the dance tent. For all the boys and Ness it is a dream come true and we plan on making it a special one. I know kurt's particularly chuffed as the his frist Big Day Out gig falls on his 30th Bitrhday. Come and say hi, have a dance and were all going to wish him a big happy birthday



Kurtis Touring in December 04

Coinsiding with music MAX's feature of the band KURTIS heads south for a week of dates from the 13th to 21st Dec. The 8 piece funk machine including Vanessa Baker and Jimi Arnold stops first at the Brewery in Newcastle on WED and continues south to Sydney from thier.
